Spring Surrey Soccer Academy

NOTE – all players registered on to a SUSC/EMSP spring games team will receive discount off of the Spring Academy registration fee. Read below.

Practice times and fields are tentative at this time and will be confirmed by the end of February once field allocations are finalized through the City of Surrey.

OVERVIEW

The Surrey Spring Training Academy will be an eight (8) session program designed to give players in the 2008 – 2014 age-groups a training curriculum to continue their soccer development throughout the spring season. The training sessions will be held on Mondays and Fridays (depending on age, see below) at Cloverdale Athletic Park turf #1.

Players registered into EMSP/SUSC Spring League will receive $45 off of Monday registration or $30 off of Friday registration respectively.

TRAINING CURRICULUM

Players: The Surrey Spring Training Academy is a skill development program that allows the young players to continue to learn and test themselves in an attempt to reach all of their personal goals within the game of soccer.

Training sessions will be structured around technical and tactical development and within small-sided game situations. The 8-week long program follows the developmental guidelines as laid out in the Canadian Soccer Association’s Long Term Player Development Model.

PRELIMINARY ACADEMY TRAINING SCHEDULE

Below is the preliminary training schedule. This schedule is subject to change and will not be finalized until all registrations are received and processed.

2008 – 2011 boys and girls (and 2012 born development stream players)

MONDAYS; April 27^th – June 22^nd, 2020 (No session May 18^th)

2012 – 2014 (boys and girls)

FRIDAYS; April 24^th – June 19^th, 2020 (No session May 15^th)

COST OF SPRING ACADEMY

Cancellation Policy

* Any cancellation after April 10th, 2020 will be subject to a $30 cancellation fee

ACADEMY GAMES TEAM

Elite Multi Sports Programs will be offering game opportunities for boys and girls players from the Spring Academy if the opportunity presents itself throughout the spring.
